Paper Doll Penpals is a passion project for me.
For me it is not only about the act of crafting or about questions of whether art belongs to human hands alone. It is more about healing from the inside and finding a community of people who share the same love for creating.
Our minds are not built to handle the amount of stress that modern life brings. The fast pace of daily routines and the endless stream of noise from our feeds can easily make us feel worn out.
Many studies have shown that using our own hands to make something, whether it is knitting, paper crafts or woodwork, helps both the brain and the nervous system to slow down and find balance.
Joy, sharing, and the feeling of having achieved something all bring peace of mind and support our wellbeing. Paper Doll Penpals exists to offer this experience through paper doll crafting. It is also a way to share a hobby with friends across the world by sending creations through traditional mail.
